Living with Courage & Creativity is a 3 day retreat being held at the beautifully serene The Mandala Center in Des Moines, New Mexico. The retreat is scheduled from March 12th – 14th, 2010 and will begin at 3:00 pm on the 12th and end at 3:00 pm on the 14th. As a participant, you will have three days to quiet the noise and take part in a series of exercises designed to help you listen to your positive, life-giving, creative voice. Through words, clay, collage, movement, quiet spaces, and the practice of safe circles for reflection and questions, you will learn ways to honor the inner spirit that longs for expression.

Come celebrate the community! The Festival includes a Resource Fair full of information booths on great resources available to the community. In addition, there will be a children's area that includes face painting, games, and a bounce house. There will also be a Full Court Press Hoops Bounce House in the sports area for older children. You will also be able to enjoy performances by Dunbar school groups. The event is free and provdides food for the family! There will also be chances to win door prizes! Hope to see you there!

The Great Conversation Dinner is a fun, relaxed opportunity for you and your guests to share conversation with a stimulating speaker who will lead your table’s conversation on a chosen topic. Conversations cover topics ranging from college and professional sports to culinary trends to what’s new at the zoo. Who is Alliance For Children?
Alliance For Children is the Tarrant County children’s advocacy center program that serves abused children from Arlington, Fort Worth and Northeast Tarrant County. This help is provided in three child friendly centers where Child Protective Services, local law enforcement agencies, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and Cook Children’s Medical Center staff work together to provide timely and accurate investigations of serious child abuse allegations.
Alliance For Children operates the centers and provides free family assessments, case management services and group counseling to abused children and their protecting parents at each of the centers in Arlington, Fort Worth and Hurst. Since its inception in 1992, more than 31,000 children have benefited from the Alliance For Children partnership.
